Lenovo Makes Moto G5 And G5 Plus Official: Here Are The Differences

Lenovo Makes Moto G5 And G5 Plus Official: Here Are The Differences Moto G4 and G4 Plus successors have now been officially unveiled by  Lenovo , called the G5 and G5 Plus. Lenovo-owned Motorola makes some of the most popular midrange Android smartphones, keeping them decently spec'd and still on the cheap. Moto G5 And G5 Plus Of course, this isn't the first time whispers about the G5 and G5 Plus made the rounds: They've been leaked  time  and  time again  even before the Mobile World Congress, suffice to say that the leaks were dead-on accurate. So here's the G5 and the G5 Plus, announced during a special event on Sunday, with a bold, but familiar sales pitch: near-premium specs for a non-premium price. When put side-by-side, the handsets don't look different at all. The G5 and G5 Plus bear exactly a similar size and weight, and the difference between their screen sizes is ultra subtle that one will find it hard to spot anything amiss. Anyhow, it'...

Hands On With Nokia's New Android Phones, Retro 3310 BARCELONA — Guess who's back? Nokia at Mobile World Congress on Sunday announced plans to take on the mobile  phone industry again, unveiling a quartet of new phones: the Nokia 3, 5, and 6, and a reboot of the classic Nokia 3310. We got a chance to check them out at the show. What's New? We say new, but that somewhat stretches the accepted definition of the term. The Nokia 6 is not strictly new — it was launched in China last month — but it'll be hitting shelves worldwide later this year. Then there's the Nokia 3310, which is really a faithful retread of an old favorite with some new and improved features. In terms of nostalgia factor, it's essentially the mobile phone equivalent of  Star Wars: The Force Awakens . It's lots of fun, but basically the old version tarted up a bit for the modern age. The only two genuinely new phones Nokia unveiled to the world today are the Nokia 3 and t...

S amsung  may not be ready to unveil the  Galaxy S8 smartphone  just yet, but it still has fancy new hardware for us here at MWC. In addition to  the Tab S3 , the company is showing off two new hybrids that it's calling the Galaxy Book. They're ten- and twelve-inch Windows 10 tablets that support  new S Pen  features, come with keyboards and are light enough to carry around. They're well-designed and performed quickly during a brief hands-on, and apart from the S Pen support there are a few small features that differentiate the Galaxy Books from rival Windows 10 convertibles. Gallery: Meet Samsung's new Galaxy Books | 18 Photos  18 The larger Book is the more full-featured and more compelling option of the two new slates. Despite its relatively svelte 7.4mm profile, the 12-incher sports Intel's latest Kaby Lake Core i5 processor, an LTE radio, 4 or 8 GB of RAM and a 128GB or 256GB SSD. That's pretty promising, per...

Menu Mobile World Congress Huawei’s shiny P10 flagships come in (almost) all the colors of the rainbow If you’re bored of the same old monotone/metallic smartphone color choices, Chinese mobile maker Huawei has been thinking a little differently for its just announced P10 and P10 Plus flagship handsets — and is offering a spectrum of shades, including a striking deep blue option and a pale green. Which mostly underlines how tricky it is for Android OEMs to stand out in such a packed and competitive space these days where phone buyers really are spoilt for choice. As well as colorful hardware, Huawei also talked up software themes customized for each of the external shades. There’s also three different hardware finishes available, from high gloss to a more textured-look sandblast. Elsewhere you’d be hard pressed to distinguish these high end Androids from scores of others. Which is really a comm...
